Today we celebrate the day the church became the church, when people from afar gathered in one place to become unified in Christ. Today our world may look far from unification as we face a pandemic, racial division and violence. The YogaFaith Family is praying that people would turn back to God and He would heal our land, breathe His Holy Spirit upon these dry, dead and divided bones.
Can He make these dead bones live? I’m so glad you asked!
“Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life…I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone…say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.
‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone… ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord…I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’” Ezekiel 37:1-14
If God can breathe life into, heal and unify dry, dead and divided bones then, He can surely do it again!
The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound [just like in Ezekiel] like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:1-4
Holy Spirit come, fall fresh on us!
Melt us, mold us, fill us…use us.
In Christ alone,
